How can I manage messages, mentions, and SMS in my Sherpa dashboard?

The Communication section in Sherpa dashboards helps staff members stay updated with unread messages, mentions, and SMS notifications. This section provides a quick overview and direct access to pending interactions.



📨 What’s Included?

The Communication section consists of three key components:

  1. Unread Messages

    • Displays the count and preview of the latest unread messages.

    • Clicking this section navigates to the full list of unread messages.


    • Messages can be sorted by Newest to Oldest or Oldest to Newest.

    • Clicking a message opens the Student Details View with the Message Tab and the unread message thread.


  2. Unread SMS

    • Shows the count and latest unread SMS notification.

    • Clicking on an SMS notification leads to the Student Details View, displaying the SMS thread.



  3. Unread Mentions

    • Displays the count and latest unread mentions.

    • Clicking this section opens the list of unread mentions, sorted in the same way as messages.


    • When a mention is clicked, it is marked as read.

    • Users can:

      • Add or edit comments on the post they were mentioned in.

      • Mark the mention as unread again if needed.

Each of these sections is designed to improve workflow efficiency, ensuring that staff members can quickly respond to students and team interactions.
