They are especially useful when:

• 📩 A student sends an SMS to staff via the platform.

• Staff aren't actively checking the app or tab.

• Timely response is crucial.

• 🚀 Instant alerts when students send SMS messages.

• 📱 Works across mobile and desktop devices.

• 🔗 Clicking a push notification will take you directly to the student’s SMS thread:

  • If you're already logged in, it opens the SMS page directly.

  • If you're not logged in, it takes you to your SSO login page, and after login, you'll be taken straight to the SMS thread — no need to manually navigate!
    → This ensures quick response with zero hassle.

📲 How to Enable Push Notifications in the App

1. Open the platform and log in.

2. Tap the left sidebar menu, scroll down, and tap "Enable Push Notifications".

🍏 On iOS (Safari Web App)

• Open the platform in Safari.

• Tap the Share icon → “Add to Home Screen.”

• Open the app from your home screen.

• When prompted, tap “Allow” to enable notifications.

• You can also check permissions via Settings → Notifications → Safari.

⚠️ On iOS, push notifications only work when the app is added to Home Screen. Visiting through Safari alone won't activate notifications.

🤖 On Android (Chrome)

• Open the platform in Chrome.

• When prompted, tap “Allow” to enable push notifications.

• To review permissions:

  • Go to Settings → Apps → Chrome → Notifications

💻 On Desktop (Chrome)

• Open the platform in Google Chrome.

• When the browser prompts for notification access, click “Allow.”

• To manage notification settings later:

  • Go to chrome://settings/content/notifications

  • Locate the platform URL and set it to "Allow"
