Bulk Recommendations are a powerful engagement tool that allow staff to recommend helpful resources—like apps, badges, personal goals, and communities—to multiple students at once. These recommendations are designed to guide students toward valuable activities and programs that support their academic, personal, or professional development.

👣 How to Send Bulk Recommendations:

1. Navigate to any Sherpa dashboard table (e.g., My Students, All Students, etc.).

2. Use checkboxes to select one or more students from the list.

3. Click the “Super-R” icon at the top-right of the table. This opens the Recommendations Modal.

4. Inside the modal, you’ll see four tabs—each corresponding to a different type of recommendation.

📱 1. Apps Tab

• Used to recommend apps from the Fidelis App Library that may be helpful to students based on their goals or challenges.

• Features:

  • Search and filter apps using the text bar.

  • Add a deadline by which students should explore or use the app.

  • Include personalized notes or instructions to explain why the app was recommended.

• Ideal Use: Recommending study aids, productivity tools, or career prep apps.

🏅 2. Badges Tab

• Suggest badges for students to earn through Fidelis.

• Features:

  • Encourages goal-setting, skill-building, or completing certain milestones.

  • Similar structure to app recommendations: add deadline and notes.

• Ideal Use: Motivate students to complete academic achievements, co-curricular goals, or behavioral targets.

🎯 3. Personal Goals Tab

• Help students focus on a specific target by assigning a personal goal.

• You can define:

  • Title of the goal

  • Description of what the student is expected to achieve

  • A message for additional guidance

  • A target completion date

• Ideal Use: Personalized coaching (e.g., “Submit assignments on time for 3 weeks” or “Improve math grade to 75%+”).

🌐 4. Community Tab

• Encourage students to join relevant communities.

• Features:

  • Browse and search through the platform’s community list.

  • Can also filter based on the "Category" of the community.

  • Recommend groups based on student interests, academic programs, or institutional focus.

• Ideal Use: Connecting students to peer support groups, department forums, career tracks, or identity-based communities.

✅ Confirmation & Delivery

• Once you’ve added recommendations click “Send”.

• A confirmation modal appears after each recommendation is sent showing:

  • Student names

  • Recommendation type

  • Status of delivery (success/failure with reasons)

• Students receive the recommendation in their Fidelis dashboard and may also be notified via email or platform alert.

💡 Tips:

• Use Saved Searches to apply recommendations to specific groups (e.g., low GPA, inactive students).

• Regular use of bulk recommendations helps build stronger engagement pipelines.
