How do I view my notifications in the Fidelis platform?

The Notifications panel is your central hub for staying up to date with everything that’s happening across the platform that’s relevant to you. Whether it’s an activity on a student profile, a tag in a private note, or updates in your community—you’ll find it all here.



📍 Where to Find It

  • Available on the Global Sidebar (left side of the screen).

  • Represented by a bell icon 

  • A badge count shows the number of unread notifications.


🧭 How It Works

  1. Click the bell icon to open the Notifications panel.

  2. A slide-out panel appears from the left with a list of your most recent notifications.

  3. Infinite scroll: Keep scrolling to view older notifications.

  4. Visual distinction:

    • Unread notifications have a slightly different background.

    • Read notifications appear dimmed for quick scanning.


🔍 Notification Details

  • Click on any notification to open a detailed view.


  • In the detailed view, you can:

    • Read full context of the notification.

    • Comment, tag other users, or take action if relevant.

    • Click the “Back” button to return to the full notifications list.


⚙️ Additional Features

  • Mark All as Read: One-click option to clear your unread notifications badge and mark all notifications as read.

  • Close the panel anytime using the X icon in the top-right corner.


💡 What Triggers Notifications?

There are 135+ notification types in the system that can generate personalized notifications, including:

  • Being tagged in a Private Note or Activity.

  • A new recommendation of community, mentor, mentee.

  • Updates to community events.

  • System-level alerts, assignments, apps, badges and role-based updates.

Each one is carefully tailored to your role and the actions you're involved in—keeping you informed and engaged.


📧 Email Alerts Too

Alongside in-app notifications, you will also receive email notifications for the same events—ensuring you never miss anything important, even when you're offline.
