Fidelis LRM Key Terms & Definitions

General Features

  • Activity Stream – Displays all activity within a learning community.

  • Agenda – Lists every goal a user has along with the set due date.

  • Analytics – Provides user, usage, learning app, and LRM data.

  • Calendar – Tracks the due dates set for each goal on a user's Learning Path.

  • Portfolio – A store of credentials.

  • Quick Links – Section of the configuration page to add links to external resources that support student learning.

Learning Apps & Badges

  • App – A mini self-paced course or courselet.

  • App Author – Builds learning apps and badges.

  • App Moderator – Provides feedback to students taking moderated learning apps.

  • App Publisher – Publishes or rejects learning apps after they are built.

  • App Sequence – A series of apps grouped together.

  • Badge Grader – Assigned to Authentic Microcredentials (Moderated Badges) for grading.

  • Badge (Micro-credential) – An endorsement of a specific capability.

  • Stacked Credential – A series of badges grouped together.

Roles & Permissions

  • Coach – Provides professional support for students.

  • Community Manager – Manages users, creates and edits sub-communities, and adjusts community settings.

  • Mentor – Volunteer support for students.

  • Mentorship Manager – Assigned to monitor and manage mentorship programs.

  • Member – Default permission given to all users invited into the LRM.

Learning Relationship Management (LRM)

  • LRM (Learning Relationship Management) – A system built on the principle that learning is a relational endeavor, ensuring students develop the relationships they need to succeed. The LRM consists of:

    1. High-Touch Advising CRM (Sherpa Tool)

    2. Competency-Based LMS (Learning Apps & Badges)

    3. Community-Enabled Mentoring (Coaches, Mentors, and Communities)

  • LRM Academy – Intensive training program for onboarding organizations.

  • LRM Test Community – An LRM community set up by Fidelis specifically for training purposes.

  • Sherpa Tool (LRM) – The coaching tool used to monitor student engagement.

Goals & Objectives

  • Goal – The LRM recognizes a goal as one of the following:

    1. Learning App

    2. Badge

    3. Custom Goal

  • Goal History – Shows a list of all previous goals completed or removed by users, including scores, dates, and time spent on each.

  • Personal Goals – Goals that don’t have content.

  • Purpose/Objective – Long-term goals that are not SMART.

  • SMART Goals – Goals that are:

    1. Specific

    2. Measurable

    3. Attainable

    4. Realistic

    5. Time-Related

System & Configuration

  • Branding – Allows admins to add custom logos and banners to community pages.

  • Communities – Real groups like companies, colleges, academic departments, social organizations, professional associations, high schools, or sports teams.

  • Configuration – Allows admins to configure specific community settings.

  • Info Tab – Displays basic student data pulled from student informational systems.

  • KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) – Metrics used to measure performance.

  • Message Templates – Allows admins to customize system-generated email messages.

  • Objective – Overarching goal that guides the learning process.
